Re: Renderable text dellacorwin Aug 10, 2014 3:32 PM (in response to Test Screen Name) No, not scans. Re: Renderable text CtDave Sep 19, 2012 7:15 PM (in response to clangan88) "Renderable text" is the text you'd have as PDF page content when you output a PDF from an authoring file (say an MS Word file).OCR can only function on a PDF page that has only an image of text. Using the site is easy and fun. This solution makes smaller images (but, if you use OCR "Searchable Image (exact)" it will retain existing image size). You should only OCR scanned documents -- and only need to OCR scanned documents. My suggested method just avoids dumping the pages to an image and then converting back (which also loses the bookmarks). Is there a way to export/imiport bookmarks? Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 10. To print as an image option is available under 'Advanced', in the print dialogue box. Re: Renderable text JKASingh Sep 1, 2013 12:23 AM (in response to Chyron8472) This solution by Chyron8472 worked.

I'm assuming that that means the page is being OCRed, because batch processing says OCR was a "success." Reviewing the document after processing, it has full OCRed status and looks much better than when I print it and then OCR to avoid the warning message. The client wanted a document that either retained the original formatting or had no formatting, but didnt want to be dealing with surprise formatting that compromised the consistency look of all his training materials and bogged down his editing process.I was not using Acrobat tools as they were intended to be used. Tagging a .pdf is important if formatting is of paramount importance, but the client didnt know this. Re: Renderable text dellacorwin Aug 8, 2014 4:48 AM (in response to clangan88) Some of these suggestions should work, but.(I have the error message "Acrobat cannot OCR this page bc it contains renderable text" when trying to OCR a 350 page .pdf with Acrobat X Pro on a MacBook Pro).when I send it to print, I do not have the choice of a print driver named "Adobe PDF," nor can I enter it.I can do everything else under advanced, but the solution does not work, I guess because I am unable to select a print driver named "Adobe PDF." Is there any one who can enlighten me? Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 31. Open original document, select Document > Replace Pages, and select the OCRed copy. Save the results as a new file.Note: This appears to retain the OCR results, tags, etc. Renderable text - or let's just call it "text" for short - is stored completely differently in your PDF file. The good news is thatAcrobat DC is can segment image layers from text layers in existing PDFs and OCR the image layer only.
